Erie Gives is August 14, 2018
Be a superhero and support the Children’s Museum during Erie Gives!
Erie Gives 2018 will take place on August 14, between the hours of 8 am to 8 pm. During this 12-hour period, you can donate online to your favorite non-profit, and we hope that you choose the Erie Children’s Museum.
On August 14, 2018 visit http://www.eriegives.org/ and your gift of $25 or more to the Erie Children’s Museum will receive a pro-rated match!
All money raised will support Erie Public School District field trips to the Children’s Museum where every child’s creativity and imagination is ignited through play. An EPS Kindergarten teacher described what last year’s field trip experience meant to her students when she said, “A Children’s Museum field trip provides my students with an experience they otherwise would not have. The amount of play that is involved and cooperative learning takes place at the museum is what we have been working on all year.”
We hope you will help the Children’s Museum and make a donation to the Erie Children’s Museum on August 14 during Erie Gives 2018. #powerofplay
Every Drop Counts Campaign
The Children’s Museum education philosophy is focused on discovery learning by providing opportunities for children to explore, create, and imagine. Through exhibit design, education programming, and parent and teacher tools the Museum supports the Erie Community by nurturing family engagement and supporting play as critical to the physical, emotional, and social development of every child.
Over half a million children and families have enjoyed the water table exhibit at the Children’s Museum, making it one of the most beloved exhibits.
Play at the water table helps to stimulate senses, encourage curiosity and exploration, support creativity and imagination, develop fine and gross motor skills, practice problem solving, and encourage learning through hands-on experience.
Your donation is key to improving the water table and ensuring that learning through water play continues to grow at the Children’s Museum.
Please invest in the, Every Drop Counts Campaign, to help ensure that every family can experience water play. With your help we can increase the educational impact of water play by adding duck slides, bucket dumps, Archimedes screw pump, and wave tank.
Your support makes all the difference!
