Celebrate your child’s birthday at the expERIEnce Children’s Museum!

We love to have children visit the museum on their birthday. For the comfort of all visitors, the museum cannot accommodate unscheduled parties on the grounds.

Exclusive use of the party room for 1.5 hours 

• Museum admission for all party attendees, up to 32 guests (all adults and children, including birthday child and family)

• All day museum admission for party guests

• Special gift for birthday child

• Birthday party host family receives 10% off in museum gift shop

• Can be combined with member gift shop discount

•  Museum admission for all party attendees, up to 32 guests (adult and children, including birthday child and family)

• Each additional guest will be $10, with a maximum of 8 additional guests (40 total guests)

• Museum memberships are not valid towards party admission

• Babies under 1 are free

• All parties must be booked through the online portal

• A confirmation email will be sent within 2 business days, unless otherwise noted at checkout

• Deposit of $100 due at time of booking

• Deposit is non-refundable and will be applied to final birthday party cost

• Remainder of the balance is due one (1) week prior to the party

• Party add-ons are paid for at the time booking, in addition to the deposit

• Party add-ons can be also be added at a later date by contacting Kristina Leiter at kristina@eriechildrensmuseum.org

• A deposit of $100 is required at the time of booking

• A final payment link with the remainder of the birthday cost will be emailed one (1) week prior to the reservation and is due prior to the party

 

• Cancellations are permitted with a minimum of two (2) weeks advance notice prior to the reserved date

• Permitted cancellations may use the $100 deposit towards another party reservation

•  The carried over deposit expires and is not refundable after one (1) year

•  Cancellations made within two (2) weeks of the party will forfeit all monies paid

•  All parties include up to 32 guests (birthday child and family, all adults and children)

• Babies under one (1) year of age are not included in final guest count

• Party capacity cannot exceed 40 total guests due to building fire code

Each classroom has tables and chairs for gifts, food, and guests

• Museum staff will arrange tables and chairs as needed

7 tables are available in Classroom I

6 tables are available in Classroom III

• Child height and adult height sinks available

• Full size refrigerator with freezer available

• High chairs available upon request

• Party host may arrive 30 minutes prior to scheduled party time and check in with the staff at the front desk

• To unload items, we recommend you park with your hazard lights on in front of the main entrance on French Street

• A museum cart will be available for unloading

• Once items are unloaded, the car must be moved to a parking space

Birthday party guests must check-in at the front desk upon arrival

• Guests will receive a wristband and free admission, up to 40 total guests (including party host and birthday child)

• Museum staff will announce when the party is ready over the museum’s sound system

• The party host family is responsible for set up and clean up, loading and unloading party items

•  A museum cart will be available for use

•  Remove all food and drinks from tables prior to leaving

• Museum staff will set up tables and chairs prior to the party, as designated by party host

Museum staff will sweep the floors, wipe tables down and take out the trash at the end of the party

• Party hosts are welcome to bring tablecloths

• Tabletop decorations are permitted

Each classroom has 2 multicolor balloon clusters for parties

The museum does not provide any other decorations

• Decorations hung from ceiling or on wall

• Pinatas

• Live animals (unless they are service animals)

Museum does not provide:

Paper products

• Plates, napkins and cutlery

Cake cutters

Candles, lighter, etc.
