Sensory Friendly Morning at the Museum

January 14, 2018 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

*Sensory friendly mornings are an exclusive event for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences to have a fun, enjoyable and interactive learning experience in a comfortable and accepting environment! Staff goes through the Museum ahead of time to turn down lights, limit extra sounds and stop distracting motions.  Our Sensory Friendly Days offer a wonderful relief from extra stimuli and include free admission for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and one adult. These exclusive events include the following: Less crowded environment, light and sound reduction and designated quiet rooms.

These special days are made possible thanks to our friends at UPMC Health Plan!

****PLEASE NOTE: This event is only from 10:00am-1:00pm. Thank you!
