Start your engines! Daisies will build a model car and put it through the paces, testing how friction affects speed and movement across different surfaces. It’s the perfect warm-up for our Troop Car Chase, where scouts can race their creations and see engineering in action.
 

Mechanical Engineering: Roller Coaster Badge | December 19, 2026

Daisies become roller coaster engineers for the day, designing their own coaster and experimenting with hills, loops, and turns. Scouts will discover how small design changes affect speed, testing and tweaking their creations just like real engineers.
 

Mechanical Engineering: Fling Flyer Badge | January 23, 2027
Brownies take flight! Scouts will build their own Fling Flyer, an airplane creation of their own design, then explore the forces that keep planes, birds, and even spaceships soaring through the sky. It’s hands-on engineering with a side of imagination.
 

Mechanical Engineering: Leap Bot Badge | February 27, 2027

Brownies design, build, and test their own Leap Bot, thinking like engineers every step of the way. Scouts experiment with how their bot moves and make adjustments to get the best leap, learning firsthand how engineers solve problems through trial and error.
 

Mechanical Engineering: Race Car Badge | March 27, 2027

On your mark, get set, engineer! Brownies will design, build, and test their own race car, exploring the science behind speed. Scouts experiment with their designs to discover what makes a race car fly across the finish line.

Juniors harness the power of air to build an alternative-fuel balloon car! Scouts learn how air power can move objects and put their own designs to the test, discovering the engineering behind eco-friendly transportation.
 

Mechanical Engineering: Crane Badge | May 22, 2027

Juniors become construction engineers, learning how simple machines work together to lift heavy loads. Scouts design and build their own heavy-lifting crane, testing how pulleys and levers make big jobs a little easier.
 

Mechanical Engineering: Paddle Boat Badge | June 12, 2027

Juniors set sail as boat engineers, exploring how paddle boats move through the water. Scouts design and build their own paddle boat, then test their creations to see what keeps them moving forward.

Arrival & Timing | Guests may arrive no earlier than 5:45 PM. The workshop will begin promptly at 6:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM.

Badge Requirements | Activities are hands-on, play-based, and aligned with official Girl Scout badge requirements.
