Meet Charlee, a nine year old friend of the museum. due to epilepsy, Charlee struggles with over stimulation. She and her mom, Amanda, found our new sensory friendly backpacks to be helpful in creating a calming environment full of play. Sensory Friendly Playtime at the Children’s Museum
If you wish to visit us during a quieter time of the week, we recommend that you come play on Sundays from 3:00-5:00pm. During these times the museum sees less visitors and would be ideal to give children with sensory processing disorders and their families an opportunity to have a fun and enjoyable learning experience with reduced crowds, wait time, and background noise.
